Camillus Kayak Shop -
When Kitt purchased his first kayak, he was happy with it until he tried some different boats. Then he realized the sales person that he dealt with

Kudzu Craft - Lightweight Skin on Frame Boats
You can build your own 32-lb boat for $300 to $400 in materials! My boats are based on methods that have been proven over thousands
of years but using modern materials. Boat frames are built fuselage style, much like airplane construction. The frames are marine
plywood and the stringers are made from lightweight woods lashed together with artificial sinew. A synthetic fabric skin is sewn
over the frame, shrunk, waterproofed and it becomes a structural member of the boat. This makes an extremely strong, durable and lightweight boat.
Maine Island Trail Association -
Established in 1987, the Maine Island Trail Association is a membership organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the wild
islands of coastal Maine. With 191 trail sites and over two decades of community-building, stewardship and education, the organization developed
a model of sustainable recreation while creating America’s first recreational water trail. The 375-mile waterway extends from the New Hampshire
border to Machias Bay. MITA was founded on the belief that recreational visitors can and should serve as stewards of Maine's
wild islands. From its inception, MITA has fostered a community of volunteer boaters and island users who monitor conditions on the
Trail, participate in island clean-ups and other work projects, track recreational use of Trail properties, and spread the word about
environment-friendly low-impact practices. Current members enjoy access to Trail properties for day use or overnight visits in return for
observing low-impact techniques as outlined in MITA's annual 250-page Trail guide.
